While Bachelor Nation is used to being promised a season unlike any other, the Bachelorette’s Jenn Tran revealed the stakes are indeed that high.
The season 21 leading lady indicated viewers will walk away from her journey to love with their jaws on the floor.
“It's definitely a shocker of an ending,” she told E! News’ Francesca Amiker in an exclusive interview. “It was a shocker to myself as well. You know, it's not how I saw the journey ending when I first started it. So I'm really excited for everyone to watch that back.”
And while the 26-year-old didn’t reveal whether or not her season did, in fact, end in an engagement she doesn’t have any regrets.
“I'm definitely happy with the outcome of the season,” Jenn explained. “I think that the way the story played out is exactly the way it needed to play out.”
She did admit, however, “It's just not something that I expected for myself, so that's why I think the ending is going to be a shocker for me. It's going to be a shocker for my family.”
And as Jenn gears up for the start of her season—premiering on ABC July 8—she is also preparing herself for an increase in online discourse.
“I have good days and bad days,” she admitted. “I really just have to talk myself out of it and put the phone down if I find myself scrolling a little too and reading things about myself. That's just not healthy for you. But I'm only human and it definitely affects me.”
In addition to limiting her screen time, Jenn also turns to her support system.
“I really try to lean into my friends and family, because they're the people that really know me,” she explained. “Anyone who's commenting or trying to hate on whatever they see online, it's like, ‘You don't really know me.’ And my friends and family do, so they're the people that I really rely on.”
And depending on how her season plays out, Jenn might just have a special someone by her side, too.
